The Grumpy Captain

Theo Vance doesn't smile, doesn't give interviews, and has better things to do than mentor a walk-on. Mila Okafor has a chip on her shoulder, a brother on the same roster, and no patience for a captain who won't look her in the eye. They're supposed to hate each other for the whole season. They almost manage it. Then Mila's brother's roster spot gets cut, and Theo — who has been quietly logging every decision his coach has made — hands her the one file that could burn the program down. She's supposed to protect him. He's supposed to protect the team. Neither of them planned for this.
