The Estate of Us

Astrid Nyberg has taken harder jobs. She has never taken one on an island with one road and twenty-two rooms. Halvard Rask is sixty-one, a shipping heir, and the last of his family. He wants the house kept, the schedule kept, and the west wing untouched. On her fourth night, Astrid finds a locked door. Behind it, four women, four accidents, and one job that keeps being advertised. She can leave on the morning boat. She can call the police. Instead she stays, takes photographs, and starts asking questions in the one house where nobody wants an answer. He isn't what she expected. Neither is the man who hired her. A slow-burn age gap billionaire boss romance with a body count.
