The Enforcer's Silent Vow

Luca Bianchi has been the Bianchi family's enforcer since he was nineteen. He doesn't speak unless asked. He doesn't want anything unless told to want it. When the old Don is shot and left mute in a Brooklyn restaurant, the only man with the family's ledger of names is his youngest son, Renzo — a violinist dragged back from a Vienna conservatory to be a figurehead he never wanted to be. Renzo doesn't want the family. He doesn't want the bodyguards. He doesn't want the silent man stationed outside his door with a gun and no history. But Luca is the only person who doesn't lie to him, and Renzo is the first person to look at Luca like he might be a man instead of a weapon. Together they read the ledger. Together they learn who fired the shot — the family's own consigliere, in bed with the Luccheses. And in a hospital room with borrowed guns and borrowed nerve, Renzo pulls the trigger, and Luca breaks his silence for the first time in his life. A dark MM mafia romance about the enforcer who never spoke and the son who made him.
