The Cruel Heir

Coldwater Prep runs on scholarship money from one family, and that family's son decides which scholarship students make it to graduation. Theodore Ashcroft has never been overruled. Then Emilia Rourke transfers in and the bond marks her as his mate before she's even unpacked. He tries to have her removed. He tries to break her. He humiliates her at the founders' dinner in front of everyone who matters. Emilia keeps a file. When the file gets long enough — the scholarship attrition numbers, the disappearances, the donor board with the same name on every plaque — she hands it to someone who can do something with it. A fated mates dark bully thriller about a boy who learned cruelty young and a girl who keeps records.
