The Court of Broken Bells

The parish has three rulers and one graveyard. Cass just inherited all four. When the sexton of Saint Bell's dies, his daughter inherits the keys, the burial book and the three claimants who have been circling the parish for a century: Kestrel, the vampire bell-ringer who controls the hours; Ardo, the werewolf warden who controls the river; and Willem, the mortal fixer who controls what the church admits. Each of them says Cass belongs to them. None of them knows she can hear the bells before they ring, and that the dead in her father's graveyard have been talking for years about the night the old warden disappeared. Then she finds her father's own name in the burial book, dated three winters ahead, in his handwriting — and all three men helped write it. A dark why choose urban paranormal novel about a sexton who keeps her keys and her enemies.
