The CEO's Silent Partner

Adrian Cross is a billionaire who wears the same grey sweater every day and hasn't smiled since the last recession. He needs a date for a week of dinners that will decide whether he keeps his company. I fix motorcycles. I don't do heels, I don't do investors, and I don't do grumpy men in grey sweaters. But I need a signature he can give and nobody else can, so I said yes. Then I saw the ring on one of his investors' hands — the same ring my dead brother owed money to — and the whole week turned into something else. I came for the loan. I stayed to burn it down. The grumpy billionaire can come too.
