The Burn of the Borderline

Bex Okafor is the best striker in the league and the most hated woman in the Denver press. Three years ago, goalkeeper Cass Malone ended her season with a legal tackle and never apologized. Now they're both on the expansion Colorado Kestrels, and the team's survival depends on the two of them sharing a field for ninety minutes without a red card. Bex scores on him in the first practice. He shuts her out for eleven straight. Then a blackout, a hotel bar, and six hours of honesty neither of them wanted. When a leaked photo threatens both contracts, Bex has to choose between the only career she ever wanted and the one person who actually sees her.
