Delphine Broussard has been the Acadiana Ravens' kitchen since she was nineteen and their president's little sister since the day she was born. Her husband Cricket road captain, her brother Beau the patch on the door. When Cricket came home from Natchez, it was Beau who told her — wrong hour, wrong anger, wrong way, three days before the club found out. Delphine didn't cry in front of her brother. She waited until he left, called her aunt in Breaux Bridge, and started making a plate lunch menu in the back of a gas station. The club split. Beau lost the presidency.
