The Biker's Other Old Lady Took the House

Penn Alvarado has been the wife of a Fallen Oaths sergeant for seventeen years and the principal of this town's high school for nine. She found out from a student's essay — a girl in her chemistry class, writing about her sister's older boyfriend. Penn recognized the handwriting on the back of the page. She did not call her husband. She called a lawyer. Then the old ladies' table. Then she started moving money. Seven days is all the club's protocol allows. By the time Abel sits down at the kitchen table, Penn has the petition, the pension, the house, the dogs, and a letter of recommendation already sent to a girl who deserved one. He threatens her job. She has copies of everything. She is not keeping the name.
