Stolen by the Ice-Warlord

Doctor Ilsa Renner has spent nine years on a mining moon, fixing broken hands and keeping her clinic out of corporate pockets. She has never once needed rescuing. Then a seven-foot alien warlord bleeds onto her operating table, and Vess law says a saved life belongs to the one who saved it. Kharoun of the Vess does not want a mate. He wants the debt settled. Ilsa does not want a warlord. She wants a shuttle home. But his court is full of people who would rather see the bond broken and both of them dead, and the only person who treats her like a person instead of property is the man who carried her off a moon. When he offers to void the contract and send her back, Ilsa has to decide whether the life she built is worth more than the life she could write herself.
