Stealing the Storm Alpha

Kira Voss has robbed better houses than Stormhold, and the job was supposed to be a ledger. What she got was the alpha himself — drugged, handcuffed, and shipped out in a grain wagon by the uncle who wants his seat. By the time Kira realises who's in the wagon with her, they are three counties out, the bond has already snapped, and the man she kidnapped is looking at her like a problem he intends to solve personally. Torin Storm wants his pack back. Kira wants to be paid. What they both want, and neither will say, is for the other one to keep talking. When the uncle's riders catch up, Kira cuts the only deal she has left: she walks the alpha back through the gate she just robbed, in daylight, in front of everyone.
