Smoke and Sugar

Nico Marchetti hasn't been home to Bellato since his mother's funeral. He's back now for one job: close her bakery and sell the building. Ivy Santos has been keeping the lights on with her own savings and the town's recipes for two years, and she isn't handing her oven over to a man in a twelve-hundred-dollar suit. They fight about flour. About the sign. About the fact that neither of them can stop. Then a snowstorm, a dead fuse box, and one night on a flour-dusted bench — and a secret Ivy isn't ready to say out loud. Nico can fix anything with a checkbook. Ivy won't take a penny. Somewhere between the morning bake and the board meeting, the man who came to shutter her bakery is going to have to figure out what he's actually willing to give up.
