Seduced by the Enforcer

Théo Marchetti fights for a living and has the fines to prove it. When the league benches him, the team orders him to do community service at the elementary school down the street, which is how the Rift's biggest problem ends up in a chair built for a seven-year-old, silent for forty minutes, while twenty-two third graders stare at him. Wren Delacroix runs that classroom and that literacy program and does not have time for a professional bruiser with a suspension history. She doesn't want him there. She hires him anyway. Now they are sharing lunch duty and a broken boiler and a growing list of reasons neither will say out loud. But the league is reviewing his career, and Wren has something she can do about it — something that will cost her everything she built. Some men are worth a letter to the board. This one is.
