Pumpkin Patch at Closing Time

Ellis Marsh is three weeks from selling the only pumpkin farm left in Marrow Creek. Then Wren Colfax walks back into town, in the same raincoat, with the same stubborn jaw, and asks to photograph his field for a grant that could save the whole valley. He has spent ten years not asking her why she left. She has spent ten years not answering. Together they lift crates, sort heirloom seeds and negotiate a fence neither of them will admit is crooked. When a city buyer offers more than the grant ever could, and a hard freeze threatens the last crop, Ellis and Wren have to decide whether the farm is worth staying for. Or whether they finally are.
