No Ice, No Mercy

The Buffalo Blades' team bus goes into a snowbank on a northern highway with three men aboard who have nothing in common: the starting goaltender, the backup who defected from Russia and won't discuss it, and the driver who ran them off the road on purpose. Kane has a debt. The debt lives in Buffalo, in a front office, and the only way out is a cabin, a radiator, and a set of handcuffs that stay on for the first month. Vinnie and Ruelle should be his hostages. They become something else. Eighteen months later, the search party finds a house with two trucks in the driveway, a frozen lake out back with boards on it, and three men who will not be rescued. No ice. No mercy. No point in going back. A dark MMM hockey hostage romance about three men who stopped being captives and started being a family in a cabin nobody was supposed to survive the winter in.
