No Ghosts, No Promises

Dr. June Adeyemi authenticates a sound recording, the prosecution's case collapses, and the defense team posts her home address online. A week later, someone is making coffee in her kitchen at night. The police tell her to install cameras. June installs microphones. What she catches is Agent Elias Crowe, the investigator on the original case — and the defense's expert witness who tore her testimony apart in open court. He says he's looking for the man in her house. He says the walls have been occupied for eleven months. June doesn't believe him for a very long time, and by the time she does, the recording he has to identify is her own voice doing something she never did. A stalker enemies to lovers thriller with the sound turned all the way up.
