Kozlov

Lev Sokolov is eighteen years old, fourth overall pick, and he has been assigned to live with the man whose number is hanging in the Seattle rafters. Nikita Kozlov is thirty-two, two rings, one knee that will not heal, and no interest in a rookie in his guest room. Three days later, Arkady Volkov arrives — Nikita's former linemate, now an assistant coach, and the only person alive who remembers exactly what Nikita was before the surgeries. A season. A house on the water. A kid who plays like he has nothing to lose, a legend who is losing everything, and a man in the middle keeping score. By April, one of them will retire, one of them will resign, and one of them will have to choose which version of his life he is willing to live. A dark MMM hockey romance about age, debt, and the fact that a career is not a life.
