Jackalope and Jill

For three years, he's told his mother he has a girlfriend named Jill. His mother arrives Monday. There is no Jill. Until there is.

Jack is a jackalope, with tiny antlers, very long ears, and the only coffee cart on the Hemlock Hollow green. His coffee is fresh (mostly). His lie is enormous.

Jill Okafor just drove a bright yellow food truck twenty-six hundred miles from Houston, and she's applied for the town's one and only vending permit, the one Jack has held for twelve years.
