His Cold Concierge Wife

Tess Delacroix has worked the night desk at the Van Hoorn for six years. She knows the elevator jams on five, that the doorman's birthday is in March, and that the owner hasn't slept in the building since his mother died. Now Hugo Van Hoorn is back, and he's selling. The severance package for the whole staff hangs on a clause in his family's trust that requires him to be married before the sale can close. He needs a wife by Friday. Tess needs forty-eight thousand dollars by the end of the month. The term sheet is one page. The wedding is at 9 a.m. The penthouse is on the top floor, and so is he. What he doesn't know is that Tess has been reading the guest logs for six years — and there's a name in them that will stop the sale cold.
