Claimed by the Flight Medic

Day seven in the wreck of the Calypso, Tamsin Oyelaran is down to one liter of water and a field kit that can't stop her sternum from bleeding. Then the Kharr come through the hull. Their medic grafts something living to her chest to save her. It works. It also means Sareth feels her pulse from across a ship, and she feels his — every lie, every fear, every time he looks at her. Her own navy wants her quarantined. The Kharr want her returned as salvage. And the black box under her rack proves the Calypso was shot down by a human escort on a human captain's order. She has the box. He has a courier ship. Four systems to go.
