Claimed by the Capo's Brother

Tessa Vaughn has seen a lot of bad nights in the ER. She has never seen a man shot in a parking garage, and she has definitely never been thrown into the back of a black SUV by the one person who can keep her alive. Matteo Ferraro is the spare heir of a family that does not forgive. His brother runs the South Side, and his brother wants Tessa dead before she can testify. Matteo's plan is simple: keep her hidden, keep her breathing, trade her back when the price is right. He did not plan on her fixing his shoulder in the dark, or cooking him eggs at four in the morning, or looking at him like he is a man instead of a weapon. He did not plan on breaking the only rule his family ever taught him. Eight days. One bakery. Two people who should not want each other. A BWWM interracial dark capo romance.
