Captain of the Frost

They cut the C in half. Neither of them thought that was a metaphor. Sloane Petrakis earned the captaincy. Ben Aldridge was promised it. Now they split a season, a locker room, and a team that can't decide which of them to follow. The rule was simple: nothing off the ice. No favors, no forgiveness, no feelings that could be mistaken for either. Then the athletic department assigns them to coach a youth clinic together twice a week, and eleven-year-olds don't care about their rivalry. They just want a team that works. By February, Ridgeport is one scandal and one brawl away from losing the co-ed pilot for good — and Sloane and Ben are the only two people who can save it, or the only two who can end it. They played the whole season against each other. They'll finish it side by side.
